As a token of the visit of the Director General to Mannar, the President of Mannar District Mr. Mohanarajan distributed Rs. 5,000/- each to 6 widows who lost their husbands during the Civil War. One request was that photos should not be taken as they were from very wealthy families and now have become poor due to the Civil War followed by other disasters.
