One set of labour line rooms in Mousakele Estate in Maskeliya was burned to ashes due to a electric short. 10 Families with Children completely lost all their belongings to fire, and with the courtesy of the Manager of the Estate Manager, Mousakele Estate School Principal and some kind hearted volunteers, they were given permission to stay in the School premises for two weeks and they were daily provided with their food and medical requirements. At the request of the LFRO President of Maskeliya Paster Manoharan, and the permission and support from the Manager of the Estate, The AGA of Norwood and the Grama Sewaka, with distributed more than enough clothing and bed sheets for all of them.
