From January 1, 2024, the Organization Management chart would be changed as follows for a better service to the public and offering more opportunities to the Members.
EXECUTIVE BOARD Will consist of maximum of 12 Members lead by the Director General.
Each Province will have an ADDITIONAL DIRECTOR GENERAL under whom there would be a Cabinet of maximum 12 Members.
Each District would be divided in to REGIONS of 4 to 8 Divisional Clubs and the Region Chairperson will have maximum 12 Coordinators to assist him/her in additions to two Zone Chairpersons.
There would be a Zone Chairperson for 3 to 4 Divisional Clubs.
Each Divisional Clubs will have a Board of 12 Members and in addition 48 members to cover each and every Grama Sewaka area of the division.
Divisional Clubs could be extended by any member with minimum 15 Members.
We need Members for all Divisional Secretariat area of Sri Lanka.

The third selection round of project concepts for the Global Biodiversity Framework Fund (GBFF), issued on 8 August 2024 by Mr. Carlos Manuel Rodriguez, Chief Executive Officer and Chairperson of the Global Environment Facility. The third selection round for Project Preparation Grant (PPG) requests opened on 8 August 2024 and will close on 30 September 2024. Decisions regarding the selection results will be notified by 6 December 2024.
In accordance with the GBFF Project Cycle Policy ( https://www.thegef.org/council-meeting-documents/gef-gbff-01-04-rev-02 ), GEF Agencies submit PPG requests on behalf and with the endorsement of eligible countries at an amount that is no more than the country’s maximum total dollar value ( https://www.thegef.org/council-meeting-documents/gef-gbff-01-03-rev-03 ) of new funding request(s) at the time of submission. The PPG requests are submitted on the GEF Portal. The templates for the PPG request ( https://www.thegef.org/documents/gbff-project-preparation-grant-ppg-request-form ) and the letter of endorsement ( https://www.thegef.org/documents/gbff-letter-endorsement-form ) have been circulated to the GEF Agencies and GEF Operational Focal Points.
To assist relevant Parties interested in submitting PPG requests for the third selection round, the GEF Secretariat has offered to provide a briefing through a webinar to be organized on 5 September 2024 at 8:00 a.m. EDT.
