A.M.Sugathadasa , of 522, Nawagama, Dehiattakandiaya, (Tel : +94 78 1159178) aged 52 years lost his wife a few years ago and leaving 3 children. As his right leg was amputed, he had to look after his three children without any income. Due to the hardships they were facing, one child is missing and no one knows as to what happened to him. The youngest son met with an accident and he is disabled and at the rehabilitation center. His 28 year old only son living is looking after the father and he too is a mental patient. They are having a very hard time and the neighbors are helping them. They are not asking for big things, but asking for only a Wheel Chair, Pampers and if possible, some dry rations. We feel that if we are able to help him with a prosthetic limb, he will be able to at least sell lottery tickets and make an income for them.
There are also several other poor people who cannot afford to spend any money.
