20.11.2021 We established the Shathipura LFRO Social Enterprises at the Shanthipura Vidyalaya, Nuwara-eliya with members from fifty families. They were divided in to five group of ten members each. The responsibilities were given as follows : 10 Families with 10 Country Chicks each 10 Families with 100 Strawberry Plants 10 Families selected and they were given vegetable seeds for home gardening 10 Families were selected and they were asked to start a nursery to plant seeds of Mango, Jack and other big trees and we would be buying the plants back from them. 10 Families were selected to plant ornamental plants. Out of this group, a Leader was appointed to oversee while another was selected as Sales Person. Also we selected a person from the group to do the accounts and to divide the profits among these fifty families. One of our volunteer member has been given the responsibility to monitor the progress of this project. This is the ideal project for poverty elimination, hunger relief and unity & peace among communities. Results of the Social Enterprises photos taken on 1st June 2022 also available
