The Parents of a six year old girl from Kuruwita met our National Director Ms. Nadeeka Kumari and informed her that none of the Schools in the area are giving admission to this Child to attend School as she cannot hear anything.
Ms. Nadeeka Kumari spoke to the Principal of the School and assured that this Child would be provided with necessary hearing aid and requested her to admit her to the School. When the Principal agreed, Ms. Nadeeka referred this girl to an ENT Surgeon and was informed that she needs hearing aids for both sides.
She coordinated with the Central Provincial Director Eng Walisundera who volunteered somehow to assist this Child. With the presence of the Kandy District President Mr. Ajith Hewawasam, the Deltota Divisional President Mr. Ullandupitiya & Ganga Ihala Korale Divisional President Mr.Andagala representing the Lions Club as well made arrangements and donated same to the Child today, which cost Rs.300,000
