The initial planting of the One Million Trees Planting Program started with planting trees on both sides of the Road from Kadawatha to Nittambuwa. While the Forest Department Provided the Plants, Electricity Board assisted with the making of the hole for planting, Mast Lanka provided a Water Bowser with a Driver for Watering Daily, we, LFRO provided the Wooden Tree Guards while the Army undertook to monitor that the plants grow.
