Details of the Project:
Pookkulama is a small island village off Mannar where you have to go by Boat. There are 100 families who were displaced during the Civil War and came back. When they returned, they had to carry out cleaning and they are living in huts without any electricity. Although there were 100 families, we had to select only 25 which we arranged those houses who had small children, elders and pregnant mothers. We donated 25 domestic Solar light units received from a donor organization Anduren Eliyata in Australia.
