Support for Covid-19 vaccination
Manoj Ganepalla, one of our National Directors, led our Ratnapura team and supported the vaccination drive in Kuruwita, Ratnapura District. In addition, lunch was also served to all officers. In this way we LFRO has assisted in vaccination activities in many parts of Sri Lanka .It has been appreciated by government officials in many places.

A project was organized under the leadership of Malith Peiris, one of the directors of our organization, to raise awareness about the need for children in the current Covid-19 epidemic situation. Here they were given the following ingredients they needed for about a month, 01) dry food items. 02) Soap. 03) Toothpaste & Toothbrush. 4) Many other things that women need. The assistance provided by Ratnapura Police OIC Upali Minipura for this project was commendable. A stupa required for the Pitigala Uhanowita Shi Vivekaramaya Temple in the Galle District was newly built and dedicated by President Nihal Jayasinghe of the Galle District at a cost of nearly Rs. 3.8 million. Along with Nihal Jayasinghe, many members of the area who love Buddhism in the area have contributed to this.

Led by our LFRO members Nihal Jayasinghe and Malith Peiris, our Southern Province team donated over Rs. 500,000 worth of vegetables and dry food items to 3,000 families affected by the Covid-19 disaster. Through this project, we also made donations to police officers and hospital staff who are making great sacrifices, especially in the current situation in our country. We presented and encouraged officers from two hospitals and four police stations.
