Mannar 25.02.2022 A mother in a remote Mannar Village, during the Civil war saw a Mortar coming direct to her leg and she fell on to the ground with heavy bleeding and her one leg completely smashed. She saw her family members dead on the death. That’s what she remembered until she came to sense after her leg operation which lasted a day. She is living alone using the damaged prosthetic limb which she received several years back. She has been donated a quality Prosthetic Limb by us and the Mannar President has undertaken to take her Jaffna to get this fitted properly.

Mannar 17.02.2022 A Widow in the Jaffna District was living a hard life as although she had a piece of land, she does not have any assistance for he to do cultivation. The Mannar President along with the Jaffna President gave her sufficient Banana Plants, Coconut Plants, and vegetable seeds such as Long Beans & Okra. They are not interested in anyone taking photos and publishing them and as we as our North Presidents do not like giving publicity, we only publish a few photos.

16.02.2022 Mannar A young lady who is deaf & blind, bread winner of the family lost her husband after she became a mother of two children. Left with two small children, one girl and a boy, the boy 4 years of age with heart valve problem. She is finding it difficult to live with blindness & deafness, with a small child with heart issue. They are living in Mannar Emil Nagar. The Mannar President gave them dry rations required for a week and also books and other items required for the children.

Mannar 12.02.2022 A person who has lost one of his legs while getting intact with a land mine had a damaged prosthetic limb with he managed with great difficulties. Mannar President took action to repair same for him. He is now happy that he could walk properly again with the repaired prosthetic limb.
