We donated valuable Books to the Kuliyapitiya University thru the Lions Club. We received the books from Mr. Tilak Weerakkody in Australia.

School Uniforms were donated to 600 students in and around Seeduwa.

Houses were built for poor families in Rajapakshapura in Seeduwa and Pirtipana in Negombo.

Dental Clinic Conducted at the Bandaranayake School, Seeduwa for the Students and their parents. Dental Cleaning and Dental filling were done.

We received 100 bags from Epworth in Australia and we were happy that these bags were distributed to Monessori School from Dandugama, Ja-ela.

We received 21 Good quality expensive School Bags from Mr. Thilak from Australia and we distributed these bags to bright students from poor income families in Ja-ela.

In Gampaha there was an adult who was about to marry and all arrangements made. Three days before the wedding, he climbed the roof of his house to repair a small damage, but unfortunately he fell down and then he was crippled as his back bone was damaged. As we had some Motorized Scooters for Disabled, Lions Club identifying him requested us, and we donated him a Scooter in which now he is selling Lottery tickets and getting an earning for him to live.

It is a house in Kapuwatte, Ja-ela where an alone father is staying with his differently abled Son, and looking after him as his wife has left him because of this son. This father invited parents who have differently able children to bring them and keep at this day care center where another three Mothers whose children too are differently able. There are now fourteen such children, parents come and drop them and then collects them after work. We reserved a day and spent the whole day with them, providing their requirements, providing them with lunch and tea time with snacks and tea.

During several Medical Camps, we donated Wheel Chairs, Walkers, etc., for poor people who cannot afford to buy one and who were suffering.

Orthopedic Clinic at Kotugoda

We conducted a Medical Camp for patients who have knee problems and the best Indian Orthopedic Surgeon who is specialized in the treatment and surgery of knee issues was brought by us to check the patients and advise them.   

Medical Clinic at Eheliyagoda

We conducted a Medical Camp at the Eheliyagoda Divisional Office premises with the participation of six doctors and more than 200 patients.

Love Environment

At the request of the Officers of the Gampaha District Secretary, we displayed a Board at the entrance to the Office with the wording “ WE WILL PROTECT ENVIRONMENT LIKE PROTECTING OUR CHILD”

NoHep

Word Hepatitis Day, we carried out a awareness program jointly with Lions Clubs and distributed Leaflets at the Sunday open market in and around Gampaha District. It was a good project as several of the people were interested knowing more about Hepatitis and the dangers of it.

Eye Screening & Donation of Spectacles and Medical Clinic

conducted at Mahalloluwa Sri Saddarmarama Temple at Kirindiwela.

Although we screened more patients, we were able to provide with Spectacles to only 61 patients and the balance were referred for Cataract surgeries. This project was jointly conducted with Lions Clubs.

Donation of Books to 650 Students of Thakshila Maha Vidyalaya, a remote School in Mahawilachchiya.

Art Exhibition conducted at the Lincoln College, Ja-ela for all the Students below 12 years from Gampaha District. Awards, Prices and Certificates were given.
